This one feels particularly special through the medium of the tape machine. The "bright, glorious" harmonies can't be contained by the tape but you hear it trying to as it saturates. The contrast to between that and then back to the lead vocal. The verse harms starting at 1:26 are real tear-jerkers might I add!
Thanks, John! You know what, I was actually thinking about some of those old songs while I was making this one. Layering up the vocals on the chorus must have something to do with it as well. That was my calling card back in 2009.
